    On 10/27/17, Preschool celebrated Fancy Friday after focusing on the letter F all week. Students came dressed in "fancy" clothes.     Welcome to the St. Barbara Zoo! Ms. Short set up a zoo in the gym for our preschoolers. Students paid "money" to enter and used their homemade binoculars to sight-see.     On 2/26/17, the St. Barbara Rookie & Junior Basketball teams had playoff games. Although the Rookie team did not advance, they played with heart and determination.   • I'm 100 Days Smarter!

    On 1/31/17, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade classes got together to celebrate being 100 days smarter. Activities included making “I’m 100 Days Brighter” crowns, building a tower with 100 cups, writing about what they would do with $100, and drawing a self-portrait of themselves at 100 years old. Students also shared 100 yummy snacks with each other and made a list of 100 words that they know.

    Last week, our students wrote Letters to Santa as part of a Macy’s/Make a Wish Foundation fundraiser. For every letter written, Macy’s donated $2 to the Make a Wish Foundation, a foundation that gives hope to children diagnosed with a life threatening illness.   • St. Barbara honors St. Francis - 10/4/16

    The school sponsored a “Trunk or Treat” event for Halloween. Parents decorated the backs of their cars and the students went trick or treating at each vehicle in the main parking lot.     This year’s Barb-a-thon raised just over $6700 for our school!  The top 8 pledge winners were Nicholas Bunda, Donovan Chan, Avery Chan, Jessica Groark, Luz Kwiatowski-Perez, Victoria Mack, James Morris and Carys Rodriguez.  They were given top prizes for their outstanding efforts.  The winner of the t-shirt slogan contest was Martin Arteaga.  His entry, “No Need to

  • The Barb-a-thon was a success!

    Our yearly Barb-a-thon which has a history of over 30 years, was held on Thursday, May 12 th .  The theme for this year was “No Need to Fear, Bulldogs are Here”. The activity was sponsored by the Ladies Guild to help raise money for our school. After a special hot dog lunch, the students, faculty, staff and volunteers walked to the top of the “Hill” for pictures

  • 8th Grade Ribbon Mass

    On Friday, May 7, 2016, the Class of 2016 celebrated their Ribbon Mass. The Mass was celebrated by Father Marat and was attended by students and parents.
