Mrs. Nolazco was previously the eighth grade teacher and assistant principal at St. Barbara. She came to St. Barbara in 2008 after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies and History and a Type 09 certification from Dominican University.
During her years at St. Barbara she has brought her love of history to the classroom through her project based model of teaching. Along with her duties as assistant principal, Mrs. Nolazco was also the technology coordinator of the school. She earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Concordia University.
In 2016, she graduated from the Office of Catholic Schools Leadership Academy and is a member of the Big Shoulders Leadership Development Program. Mrs. Nolazco looks forward to continuing the strong foundation created by the Sisters of St. Joseph and teachers who have built the fine reputation of St. Barbara for over a century. She hopes to maintain the traditions that have made St. Barbara the outstanding Catholic School that it is.
